Friendly Friday: Preservation

Can you believe it’s already time for another Friendly Friday?

This week, I wanted to introduce you to Iowa State University’s Preservation Department. Located about 30 miles north of Des Moines in Ames, Iowa, the Preservation Department “was established in 1991 and currently includes three functional units: Preservation Services, Digital Initiatives, and Conservation.   The Preservation staff consists of two professional librarians, eight full-time staff, and three FTE student workers.” (from their website)

They’re good folks up there, doing good work. Personally, I wish they were a little closer so I could spend more time getting to know them and learning more about they do. Alas, I’m afraid their blog will have to suffice.
